Last week, I had the opportunity to visit Compton YouthBuild, a program that provides educational opportunities and trade skills for young adults ages 16-24. During my visit I got to see students undergoing leadership development, engaging in community service programming, and training in culinary arts. It was so inspiring to see so many young men and women committed to strengthening their lives and our communities.
I am thankful for the work Compton YouthBuild is leading and will continue to fight so that YouthBuild USA and organizations like it receive the federal support they need.
